This includes a few standards, such as Heineken and Guinness, but we have a serious passion for craft Scottish breweries: Williams Bros, Black Isle, and Harviestoun have permanent homes on draught. However, our interest in beer knows no borders, and we’re still one of the few pubs in Edinburgh with Brooklyn Brewery lager on tap. We were also one of the first pubs to have Thistly Cross cider on draught.
One of our three cask lines is a dedicated IPA/pale ale line. This rotates on a monthly basis, to allow everyone to enjoy either one of our four main IPAs (Alechemy Cairnpapple, Stewart’s Pentland IPA, Tryst Carronade, and Barney’s IPA), or the occasional guest IPA. The other cask lines constantly feature something new and seasonal. In additional to guest ales, we also have a regularly rotating guest bottle to complement our diverse bottle offering.
Our wine list has been researched with the same care and attention we give our beers. Using two suppliers, Alliance Wine and l’Art du Vin, the list is comprised of wines you won’t find on the high street. We offer seven red, seven white and two rosé by the glass, and prosecco & champagne by the bottle.
It wouldn’t be a full bar without spirits and we’ve got that covered too, including whiskies showcasing the best of the Scottish regions.
