Welcome the Weissbeirs!

Posted (March 21, 2012)

We now stock two weissbeirs which are flying off the shelves!

Schneider-Weisse – A German amber-mahogany hefeweizen wheat beer. It has a fresh, typically top-fermented clove like aroma. On the tongue it is fresh, clean, harmonious and smoothly rounded.

and Edinburghs very own…

Stewarts Hefeweizen – Fermented with a classic wheat beer yeast and flavoured with a little fresh bluberries, this is a cloudy comlplex and beautiful beer, with aromas of cloves, bananas and subtle spices. A blend of Maris, Otter, Wheat, Oats and Caramalt combine to create a creamy texture and golden hue.

Right now on our guest line is the hugely popular 7 Giraffes from Williams Bros Brewery.

A blend of 7 grains, 3 hop starins and a late infusion of Elderflower & Lemon: This aromatic IPA was named by Scott’s daughter. It pours a deep gold with aroma’s of elderflower and citrus hops, followed by sweet caramel. On the tounge the biscuity malts are perfectly balanced with the bitterness of the hops, freshness of the lemon & lingering floral elderflower aftertaste. An extraordinary brew.
