12 UK breweries
1 truly epic weekend!
We are proud to be one of the 8 great Edinburgh bars hosting the 1st Edinburgh Independent Beer Festival between 12th – 15th July.
Here at the Cambridge Bar we will be welcoming beers from the brilliant Red Willow Brewery and will have a large selection of their excellent cask beers on our two pumps over the four days. We will also have a few keg treats from some other great breweries so watch this space!
Pick up your stamp card and map here and collect a stamp in each of the 8 bars to be entered in the draw to win some great prizes, all whilst sampling some of the best beers the UK has to offer!
Now pouring on our guest line is the brilliant Orkney Best from the Highland Brewing Company.
A very refreshing easy drinking Orkney Light Ale. Hopped with in 2008 American and Polish hops early and late in the copper. One to enjoy with any type of food at any time of day. It does not have to be strong to be exceptional.
Pouring right now on the guest line is the delicious California Common from the very local Knops Brewery.
This style of beer was first brewed in the Californian gold rush days to slake the thirst of miners. Originally known as Steam Beer it is one of the few styles native to North America. The term ‘steam beer’ has since been trademarked by a brewing company and so the style is now known as California Common.
This is a fascinating style which originated in the mid to late 1800’s where a lack of refrigeration meant that lager beer was fermented at high temperatures resulting in a distinct flavour profile.
We have brewed this beer using our own modern interpretation of the original techniques used.
The beer is handcrafted in small batches with the very best of ingredients. 100% natural with no artificial flavours or preservatives.
Pouring just now on our guest line is Trade Winds from the Cairngorm Brewery.
Light golden in colour with a high proportion of wheat giving the beer a clean fresh taste. The mash blends together with the Perle hops and elderflower, providing a bouquet of fruit and citrus flavours.
